Wow you point out that his OL stood and watched him running for his life and his WR's were not any better yet you expect him to throw the ball down the field... to who? reverse the field... with no blocking. I'm sure he did look average, compared to a QB with a decent line and good WR. I don't know how to take what you posted maybe you should clarify with some examples of great QB's with terrible players around him. I mean look at Clausen (Notre Dame), he came the most highly recruited QB in recent memory but he looked like a High School JV QB his first year due to terrible talent surronding him. The truth is its hard to judge talented QB's and RB's in High School because of the talent around them. Thats one reason I think RS and LS look as good as they do to the coaches, if they can make the kinda plays they are making now with so so talent surronding them imagine the kinda plays they will make with LSU talent around them.

Shep will have a ton of time to develop. I imagine he will have a zone read package his first year at LSU anyway. JJ will have developed more and Lee should be a solid QB. Shep will probably be used all over the field to create mismatches with his speed. Believe me, Crowton is licking his chops on adding a dynamic player like RS.

quote:i thought thats what i was saying. most of all b/c of his offense system and secondly b/c of lack of help, he looked average.

quote:to the open receiver. he threw the deep ball about 6 times. completed 2 for TDs of 15 and 65, and missed about 4 times.
yet you expect him to throw the ball down the field... to who?
maybe the defense he played was all world. maybe he did have flu-like symptoms, causing him to play below is ability. maybe his team isnt any good. maybe his whole team had an off night. i dont know all the little factors-- i do know what i saw, and is not what youd expect from a top 5 national recruit.
**cy ridge was ranked about 13 in the city before the game, so that tells me they arent completely awful
