Good, you should start practicing that now.

Sure, and that doesn't mean that they weren't given a handshake deal about no eastward expansion that we then broke.

It also doesn't mean that there aren't any actors in Russia who believe it, because there clearly are.

And I've already stated that I don't think a handshake deal ties us to anything. Even things on paper can be worked around, happens all the time. Think we got caught in the weeds on this topic because I'm not exactly passionate about it, it was more of a side point that agreements that aren't completely ironclad can and are broken when they aren't beneficial.

And then there's the idea that the French Army has 86 brigades. Plus the Foreign Legion.

You've got the 1st Division, with four brigades, you've got the 3rd Division with three, and then you have the Legion.

And they have successfully deployed multiple brigades in eastern Europe, Africa, and SE Asia over the years. And supported them for many many months continuously.

It's the casualties they would take. They wouldn't last more than 60 days.

You think the US would have put that in writing even if they promised it?

Sure, why not?

The USSR at the time didn't have the capital to demand anything in writing If you're in business you've surely made at least a couple of handshake deals.

Huh? How many megatons did they own? How many Russian rockets were pointed at the US? Europe?

Either way, we have real people in power in Russia who are operating as if that stipulation was guaranteed by the US.

...we then broke.

This is truly an idiotic perspective. If the US or NATO "broke" any agreement, regardless of it being inked or verbally agreed to.., It would be Putin's singular talking point to justify his invasion. Clearly his messaging has not been that.

That alone would be enough to make it abundantly clear there was nothing there for anyone to "break".

I would imagine roughly the same amount that's pointed at them. This thread has taught me that we are enemies to the death. Why wouldn't they have nukes pointed at us and our current allies?

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris helped start this war by going to the Munich security council and declaring they wanted Ukraine to join NATO, when they don’t even qualify to join.

Do you think any suburban housewife or any of the 40+ year old men that follow this thread religiously and still play Call of Duty legitimately care about people dying? frickkk noooo they don’t

The entire Ukraine support stems almost 100% from the clowns that stilllll believe Trump colluded with Russia. And that is just a fricking fact. Ukraine support is a political statement and literally nothing more. These people do not really care

If there was an agreement, it was broken well before Putin, it’s not like it just happened lol

Didn’t say I did. Something doesn’t have to be true for it to influence people. Only one of the major religions can be true, but they all have very real consequences on our world.

I think it’s clear we promised them something during the negotiation process. Whether that was nixed, was a handshake deal, or whatever who knows

I have personal friends in Trump's campaign who support Ukraine. Your opinion is based on ZERO facts.

I know zero 50+ year old men who even know what Call to Duty is.

Ukraine wasn't interested in joining NATO until AFTER Feb 2022, just like Finland and Sweden weren't. Russia who changed all of that, Corn Pop's advesary and Knee Pads Harris didn't do shiite.

How is it clear because Putain said so? My you are gullible. Just because someone says something doesn't make it even close to the truth.

The check is in the mail....

Biden is the worst president in my lifetime, but the war started in 2014 not because of Biden and NATO, but because Russia wouldn’t stand aside and let Ukraine and Crimea slide West.

They judged correctly that Obama and the other Western leaders were too weak to move to stop them.

The escalation of the war was becss as use Biden was seen as Obama 2.0.

with the caveat that all of the NATO nukes have been maintained and will work should, heavens forbid, someone push the button.

That's a big if for Russia...

That's not really true...

WIKIPEDIA: Ukraine-NATO relations

but their desire to join was certainly due to threats and aggressions by Russia, before and after Putin took power.

It's more than a big if. Russia rehabs/replaces both liquid and solid fuel at a central location and this should happen on a regular basis. We learned in 2022 how personnel pocket the money meant to maintain even tires on military vehicles.
