He said if Woodward can’t draw interests from any top coaches by offering a lot of money, he would like to LSU get Ronald Dupree. He is an up and coming coach with the Milwaukee Bucks and he loves LSU. By getting him, he can weather the storm while we are on scholarship reduction and post season bans for who knows a few years. He said Woodward most likely won’t go this route but wonders how hard it will be for him to get somebody worth a damn to take this job without knowing what is going to happen to LSU.

I really hope Woodward already has his man in place. He would have to be an idiot not to.

Might as well throw Randy Livingston in that mix.

I'm a bit of a contrarian here. I think allot of cash and ridiculously low-bar incentives will interest many coaches looking for economic reward, while at the same time having minimal pressure to win right away given the expectant rebuild at hand. LSU's NIL reserves will be key and very influential to lure a good coach as well. I think we will be surprised at the interest in a positive way.

Dupree was on Brady’s first successful team during the early John Brady days of scholarship reduction after the Dale Brown Lester Earl crap. He would understand the situation and knows you can still have a good team.

Do you people really think Scott Woodward wants to hire another coach 2 or 3 years down the raod? Whatever the damn sanctions will be Scott Woodward is going to convince somone relevant, or he has already, to take this job. While there will be sanctions, the NCAA is not going to bury this program like some of chicken littles seem to believe. If thats the case, then they would have buried many other programs. They got their of flesh. The new coach will have to deal with a IMO a one year post season ban and then a few years of scholarship reduction. With NILS and the portal, a capable coach will have LSU back competing in a short amount of time

Dupree with Tasmin with big incentive contracts with backing of $10 Million/year in NIL could get us to an even higher level. Spread the $ over 4 one and done players @ $2M each with the other $2 M/Year going to 4 players that will develop and provide depth. Rinse and repeat.

I know culotta is biased but his break down today makes it fairly clear we tossed basketball to the wolves to get the NCAA out of our asses

Jordy needs to quit suggesting who we should hire in any sport. It's the kiss of death.
