Interestingly. The winkler creek that runs in downtown Boone is a wild trout water steam.

Happens all the time I know. But still cool that you walk out of Jimmy Johns and go wild trout fishing in their parking lot.

You want a Reddington Butter Stick or a Tenkara.

I have an echo fiberglass 3 wt that I use. 3 piece and 6'9" long.

Has a lifetime warranty. Gives good bend on smaller fish but still enough backbone to throw a big dry and a dropper.

It's a very slow action though so takes some getting used to if you normally throw graphite.

I have this same rod and I'm a big fan. I was used to very fast actions when I purchased but decided I wanted something different. This fits the bill and I find it a lot of fun to cast. If you're not planning on throwing big bugs, streamers, or bobbers--I'd strongly recommend it. Heavier stuff can get a little clunky to throw.
