8th inning of game 2 vs UC Irvine in the last series at the old box will probably always be my favorite.

It was the top of the 9th inning.

We scored 18 runs in the B8 and went on to win 29-13 to advance to Omaha (where another big inning would happen).

Warren Morris led off by making the first out of the inning.

18 batters later, he made the 2nd out.

Ga. Tech’s coach changed pitchers 5X in the inning. Each time, he told the new pitcher the same thing: “Ok, there’s one out…”

Actually, not a lot of walks either. Only 4 as I recall.

A lot of flares dropped in. It was just one of those innings.

1997 National Championship Game vs #1 Alabama their starter didn't make it out of the 1st. Tigers scored 6 or 7 and it was over before it started.

It’s the Georgia Tech game. I want to say because I was there lol. But honestly it’s because of it being a regional final and it sent LSU to Omaha. The Tech coach lost 10 years off his life in that half inning. He come out there kicking the dirt on the mound and and screaming at the pitcher it was funny. 18 runs, not a single home run and Warren Morris the World Series hero was the 1st and last out of that inning.

I was there as a member of the Coaches Committee volunteer ground crew. Best job I ever had. I think it was Mike Koerner who was the first and last out.

Anyone have a link to where I can watch the full Irvine super regional? That'd be fun to rewatch

Irvine 08 will always be magical.

I was in junior high, was bummed I couldn’t go, glued to the tv… along with UF 2007 football what made me a fan.

The 8th inning of Kennesaw State 2022 is definitely up there.

We certainly can't be gloating about a 10 run inning vs Kennesaw State.

Was there some huge comeback vs Florida in the CWS in the early 90s? I remember listening to that shite in my parents car at like 10pm at night in a driving thunderstorm bc our power went out.

Forget the opponent and consider the context. Down 7 with six outs to go in a regional. Pretty big deal.
