He was taking away free speech rights from churches. Some preacher that didn’t like him, pissed him off.

Many, many entities make money off the government - it all should stop.

LBJ, Biden, and Carter are the absolute worst presidents we’ve ever had, and that’s without question in my mind. LBJ would be wholeheartedly shunned by the Democrat Party today as he was without question known for being one of the most verbally intimidating bullies, extremely vulgar, and someone who would do whatever it took to get what he wanted done, regardless the cost, or what he had to say to get it done. He gets credit for his New Society deals, but at the same time was very racist and would drop an N word in a hot second. LBJ, like many others of his ilk would do whatever it took to take advantage politically, but in real life was often at odds with his political moves. In short, he was the consummate politician, not a sincere bone in his body.


As an aside note, he didn’t receive NEARLY the heat for Vietnam as Nixon (who actually got us out of Vietnam) did, and yet from the Gulf of Tonkin incident, to ever more troop deployments without a real stated objective, and extreme micro managing the war with Robert McNamara who created unworkable and tedious rules of engagement for the enemy to use against us, he pretty much created the quagmire all by his lonesome. So by time Nixon took office, there was absolutely no hope for an actual victory, only egressing from the theatre would do, and he did that by bombing the doo doo out of North Vietnam to bring them back to the negotiating table, something LBJ could have done, but failed to do so.

LBJ was corrupt, but efficient and capable.
Carter was incapable, but an honest man.
Biden is pretty corrupt and incapable.

i don't normally like to dump on Biden. i disagree with his decisions being the best for the country most often, but i'm not myopic enough to think i'm the only one with answers. he's my leader and whether i like him or not, he's my current president and i pray for him when he frustrates me.

but he's been pretty feckless the last year and doesn't really seem to have any clue what to do about any of the problems facing America. i throw in corrupt because you can't have any clue about his son and Ukraine and think that he's above board. i won't pretend like Trump wasn't either, but he was at least outside of DC for most of his life.
