He is called No Show Palazzo for a reason.

He also led Republicans in proxy votes.

Guest and Kelly barely used proxies.

Guest had much more money as well, the smear campaigns were all over the TV. I think Cassidy was using his own money pretty much. People who can’t think for themselves and do their own research will believe those shitty ads.

Not a Guest fan, he’s tried so long to be in politics, cries when he loses, wants recounts etc.

I despised him and his challenger. I liked a few of his primary challengers

Gene ran as a Republican and was defeated by Palazzo. I worked with Gene a couple of times on youth issues. He was a great representee for South Mississippi. He is the only democrat I have ever voted for. I voted for him when he ran against Palazzo.

I didn't support Ezell in the first election, but I did vote for him yesterday. I am happy Palazzo has been defeated. The only time you ever heard or saw him was right before election time.

Taylor lost to Palazzo in 2010 as a Democrat in the general. Taylor swapped to Republican and ran for his old seat in 2014, and lost in the primary to Palazzo.

I talked to a lot of people before the primary and the runoff. Not one person had anything good to say about Palazzo.

Doesn’t make any sense. Cassidy straight up won the first time. My guess is too many Fox News watching boomers just can’t vote for a populist. They always vote establishment.

They pulled the “ol’McDaniel” again. They (Neshoba County Republicans Chair) were caught recruiting Democrats to vote for Guest in the runoff and it looks like it worked again.

When Congress outs one of their own as a crook, people tend to listen.

Congressional term limits for both houses should be 12 years. If your term will exceed your 12th year, you can’t run.

Palazzo ignored his district repeatedly. He was called no show for a reason. He voted by proxy more than other Republicans. Mississippi GOP voters expect their congressman to show up to vote, not hand off the vote to Kentucky or Texas.

Palazzo's strength was the Pine Belt, hence why Taylor couldn't beat him. His opponents managed to crack the Jones County (Laurel) area this year and that made a huge difference. Ezell is 60 but pretty energetic and as a Sheriff, he knows how to stay in touch with voters.

The man argument for keeping Palazzo was get this, he is on appropriations. That's it. Totally it. But the people who said that also said he earned his loss fair and square.

Yep. And voter turnout appears to have been low in the Pine Belt (just looking at raw numbers) as opposed to the Coast. No one was excited to go out and vote for Palazzo.
