They are doing well. His then 8 yr old son is now 16, 6'4",4.00 GPA on football team & looks & acts just like his dad.His then 7 yr old daughter is now a 15 yr old cheerleader with tons of friends & is doing great, other than no dad. He would be proud of the young people they are.

I remember the get together (unfortunately I wasn’t around the area at that time). I also remember all the post leading up to and after his passing.

He touched a lot of lives and this thread is a testament to that.

He was before my time, but his children seem to be a testament to the person he was. That’s what I would hope my legacy would be.

You from Monroe? I am wondering if we know each other. I went to school with EJW's bride and am friends with her brother.

Kinda weird that I had no clue who EJW was even though I am from Monroe and we knew a lot of the same folks. My only connection to him was here on the OB and he seemed like a solid dude. So much so, that when the benefit was announced I wanted to go back home just to meet him. Well, the Lord had other plans for that, but it didn't stop that event from moving forward thanks to a bunch of his buddies and OB friends. I am glad his family is doing well. I moved back home briefly in 2018 and would see them in church often.

Hey CD, and old posters, just found this thread.
I miss my friend, think about him and that era of this board a lot. If someone needed something, anywhere, anytime, it was a done deal! 4lsu2, the story you have told a bunch, in regard to my couch being filled up with them, every time I think about that I smile. I met Josey for the 1st time in the parking lot at Sonic (very fitting for this board) in RayVegas on opening day of dove season and LSUballs drove by in the blue dodge with his “waitress” from Sonic, Pookie. I can’t remember what year that was even close to.
In fact, every memory from those days that’s related to this board, including Josey, ends with a smile.
