There’s honestly no need to discuss Nussmeier anymore this season unless god forbid Daniels gets injured.

Spending figures still look like they favor FSU, but I’ll let the financial side go. My mistake for posting garbage. Point remains. LSU isn’t the elite perennial powerhouse that fans want to believe it is. The recent success has been awesome, I hope it becomes one.

It’s infuriating to lose to a program “we” are superior to? In what way? FSU spends more money on football than LSU, has more revenue from football (more than double, in fact) also has 3 titles, has 3 Heisman winners, and more top 5 finishes.
You ever hear of Bobby Bowden?

Reality check: LSU is a great program, it isn’t elite.
Obviously, this is a click-bait post.

That doesn’t even make sense. It’s a discussion forum. I’m not selling advertising.

You probably said the same thing through the Les Miles era about all the lame quarterbacks we had. If coaches were always right about quarterbacks, Joe Burrow would be working 9 to 5 and no one would know who he was. And remember, Urban was considered one of the best coaches in the business. This whole deal about coaches always make the best decisions is just crazy!

Nah man. The whole point of the post was to point out that there is nothing rather than complaining happening in these forums. LSU has a crybaby fan base. It’s embarrassing.

The other piece was just addressing Ragey McRagersons estimation that FSU isn’t a serious program.

Also annoying that everyone thinks wins just happen, that programs turnover overnight. The catastrophizing is infantile. If it was up to the fans, LSU would be in a UT-Austin or NU-Lincoln sort of upheaval. Thinking LSU is going to turn out alternating seasons of 12-1 and national championships is a pipe dream. Happiness occurs when expectations are in-line with reality. 9-3 would be an incredible turnaround. 8-4 would be a good start and 7-5 would be a disappointing land on exactly what everyone expected from this team this year. All of those possibilities are still on the table. It was an opening week game with a team who had a week zero game.
So there are two options, be defeatist crybabies with the fans or buckle up and go to work. The team is going to do the latter, and I’ll respect the hell out of that.

You stated your opinion well and reacted well to being wrong on one count, but you're wrong on the other also.

FSU is synonymous with NE, Mia, ND, and any pick of 5 other programs when it comes to elite status

The list of elite programs this generation is much smaller, and you will not find many that will not include LSU

I am shocked someone actually stood up and admitted to a mistake in a post on here.

I also disagree with you somewhat on the perceived state of each program, but that's extremely subjective.

I don’t think a strictly generational view works either. Programs like Florida St are still heavily invested in football, and has high revenues from athletics across the board. Nebraska is one more coaching change away from becoming Army.

I’m fine with the disagreement, and probably undervalued LSU in my assessment. Really tired of fans pretending like everyone who isn’t Alabama or the SEC flavor of the week is a walk through. And that wins are just going to come because LSU is LSU. I’m still excited about this rebuild.

Appreciate the discourse, gents. That’s what I wanted. Lively disagreement. Geaux Tigers!

2019 revenue figures linked below.

LSU 2019 Football revenue $95M

Florida State 2019 Football revenue $71M

Wouldn't 2019 be an outlier year? We don't usually play 15 games

His claim is still absurd but that might not be the best year to cherry pick
