Jesus. They are speaking politically.
Politically he is a coward for not stating an opinion. He avoided the question.
Some would say that is the political way to answer that question. Because he didn't answer the question. Others would say he is a political coward for giving the obvious correct answer which is that Republicans are not a threat.
Incidentally, that would also be the moral answer to give here. But b because it would stigmatize him to his literally crazy base, he avoided answer the question. That makes him a coward in that sense.
So he is being a smart Democrat, but a lousy individual with that answer.

at this point it's not about getting on the trump train as you put it. people have to take a stand and say 'this is wrong.' if they don't, well, don't be surprised when their rhetoric turns into action.
There are FAR more of us. Stand proudly against their nonsense. Do not stop.
Mark Kelley is a liar and he lied. He knows exactly what was in the Xiden Moloch speech, he knows exactly how leftists are attempting to destroy the USA... Mark Kelley is a back stabbing liar just the same as all leftists.
Leftists hate for America should never be considered a thinking position - it is not.
These criminals need to be soundly defeated. NOW.

No, he's a political coward.
He was asked a specific question and dodged it. People need to know what he stands for and apparently he stands for Mark Kelly being re-elected, first and foremost.

Anyone who can’t answer such a simple question does so out of cowardice.
He may have done some other things that took some bravery but refusing to take a stand against a maniacal near dictator who labeled 1/2 the country as terrorist is cowardly.

It seems by many here that if a politician doesn't go whole-hog MAGA and get aboard the Trump train, then they're just a coward. Life doesn't revolve around The Magnificent One.
He’s a D who could have distanced himself from such a divisive speech, but he choose otherwise. I agree people here expect full MAGA from R’s, but I think they would like to see some populist D’s stand up to the current administration. I firmly believe a populist movement containing both R’s and D’s would dominate the political landscape for a decade plus if they would just focus on the common issues the majority of Americans feel are most important. The discordant rhetoric of current D’s is equivalent to what they claim as the reason Trump had to be beaten in 2020. The hypocrisy is just disgusting.

MAGA to all republicans
At this point in time MAGA and Trumpism IS the Republican party, and to their detriment.
Back in June of this year, before most primary voting, the Republicans were rated as heavy favorites to recapture the House and Senate-- 95% likely for the House, per 538, and 60% likely to retake the Senate. Then MAGA candidates, with their deeply troubled advocate, won primaries throughout the land, and the odds have deteriorated for the GOP in truly breathtaking fashion, in less than 3 months! It's now only about a 7 in 10 chance Republicans take the house, and 3 in 10 they take the Senate.
Republicans may lose both chambers in November, and instead of looking in the mirror and seeing Trump's reflection in its literal fleurs du mal, it'll be all about "Dominion" and "the fix" echoing from sea to shining sea.
The real cowardice lies in a party which denies the presence of the ogre in its midst.

These the same MAGA candidates that democrates have been slipping campaign money too?

The Dems must be thanking the good Lord above that Arizona Republicans were stupid enough to nominate a Trumpified candidate in an increasingly purple state.

How is that question “whole-hog MAGA”? It’s a simple question.
It's the leftist pysche. You either agree with them or you're a raging psychotic maniac. There is no in-between.
To be fair it's not just leftists. That's the general state or politics today

Typical liberal! Life for us revolves around a country with good government, and anyone who comes closest to giving it to us.

Bingo.
Nobody on that side is willing to stand up to the worst elements of their own party.

"If there are fascists in America these days, they are apt to be found among the tribes of the left. They are Mr. Biden and his people (including the lion’s share of the media), whose opinions have, since Jan. 6, 2021, hardened into absolute faith that any party or political belief system except their own is illegitimate—impermissible, inhuman, monstrous and (a nice touch) a threat to democracy. The evolution of their overprivileged emotions—their sentimentality gone fanatic—has led them, in 2022, to embrace Mussolini’s formula: “All within the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state.” Or against the party. (People forget, if they ever knew it, that both Hitler and Mussolini began as socialists). The state and the Democratic Party must speak and act as one, suppressing all dissent. America must conform to the orthodoxy—to the Chinese finger-traps of diversity-or-else and open borders—and rejoice in mandatory drag shows and all such theater of “gender.”
Democrats STEAL THE ELECTION and then persecute Americans who believe that something should be done about it. Amazing hate and a complete disconnect from decency AND PATRIOTISM
You, Tarzana, supporting this are showing who you are - and it is not decent or honest or in any way concerned with freedom or Americans
