I have fond memories of Punta Gorda. It was the airport I flew into and out of the most when my brother had cancer and I would come to visit him.
He was in the hospital at Fort Pierce, so I basically was driving across the entire state each time, and most of the time I either had a flight that landed late in the evening or left early in the morning, so I was driving across there in the dark.
