Now do a break down of Nuss playing QB and what he can and cant do

You would swear Nuss has like 8 to 10 games under his belt as the starter and sucked in everyone of them with the way some of these folks are describing him. How many actual qtrs has he played at LSU as the QB in a real game? Then do Daniels including his days at ASU? All i'm saying is Kelly keeps trotting Daniels out there at Qb and we getting the same results. A RB running around as our QB. Sure he is 4 and 1 but imagine had our defense not bailed us out in a few games. He would probably already be on the bench. If we keep running the same scheme with the same QB then we will not win another game until our out of conference game.

Haven’t seen enough to know what he can and can’t do . He tried to do too much against Southern , played well against NM State in mop up and really would have had a nice showing against Auburn if the receivers didn’t drop 3 balls that were gimmes . He sets up fast and crisp and has a quick release . No navel contemplation in the backfield . Keep him on a short leash and give him some playing time . Gradually open the playbook for him depending upon performance .

Still, there is no one better on the roster. Everyone clamoring for Nuss is being unreasonable. Have you watched him this year? Year one of the Kelly regime was not supposed to be much. So far we’ve seen a better team attitude than the last couple of years as well as weekly improvement. That’s about all that can be expected.

Pretty much this ^^

Those receivers were well covered last night. Hard to see that on TV but watching live those receivers weren’t separating.

I’m not saying we have a better option. I’m saying he needs to throw the damn ball. Let our receivers outplay the defenders. Call more quick slants. Chunk it deep more. Can I please see a post route? Flag? Go? Wheel?

To be fair: the defense put us down 17 points early before they started to get into the game.

Imagine if they didn't do that to start the game.

The only difference between Daniels and Nussmeier is Nussmeier doesn’t protect the ball and turns it over, which is why Daniels is starting over him. Neither of them can read a defense.

Nuss has not played enough to form an opinion . Last two outings were OK ! Sets up fast , quick release . More than I can say about JD .

Is this known with certainty? I do not know.

Daniels can't get the ball down field like Brennan, or even Nuss or Howard, that's why teams are catching on to our short game, but Daniels is out best chance at winning. Brennan, as much as I love him, would be dead by now with our pass protection. I trust in Daniels, the same as I trust every other Tiger player and coach. For good or bad, this is who we are. A fiesty bunch of wild eyed Tigers refusing to die. God bless our boys.

Will you Daniels defenders stop ripping the OLine to defend him? While mistakes were made in the first game they have been absolutely solid in the last 4.

I agree . Totally afraid to throw . Guess there won’t be interceptions !! I was not impressed with him at all against Auburn . Late throws , behind receivers , holding the ball forever . The Auburn QB throws for 300 yards and it’s his second start !! You can’t play QB and be afraid to throw the ball .

According to what Kelly was saying the Auburn defense made it hard to read and it showed.

How much tape do you need? It doesn’t take long to figure out. Love the kid. But he has a LONG way to go in terms of reading defenses. BK knows it. But he’s our best chance, unfortunately.

I’m sure you are the expert at reading defenses.

Brennan was much better than either and the coaches had him at QB3 because hEs nOt mObIlE

Just gross mismanagement not to tailor the offense to your best passer’s skill set.
