eco mode I’ve gotten 27 mpg driving 70 mph. I average 23 normal driving

I heard this from all kinds of people and I’m calling bullshite. I have one that I will show you the complete opposite. It can’t touch 15mpg in eco or anything else.

When pulling my 16’ Jon boat that weighs less than 2000 lbs it’s gets 10.9 mpg. All these miracle mpgs must also be foreign to the ford dealerships around my area also.

Yes I’m a little butt hurt over this truck although I do like everything else about it.

Had a 2017, all good until 90,000 miles the 10 speed had the valve body replaced then just over 100,000 the cam phaser problem started. at 150,000 the trans, transfer case and the turbos all started going out. I went back to a Cummins never had problems with them before and only time will tell going forward. I really liked the power and it was decent towing I would say if you don't put a ton of miles on it its worth a shot. For what I do it just didn't work out.

I have a 2016 F-150 with an Ecoboost engine, and I will tell you it is the best truck that I have ever owned. I probably get 20mpg in the city and better than that on the open road. I have a 19 foot bay boat which it tows easily. I believe my truck can tow 7,000 lbs. I have had zero problems with this engine.

I have a new tremor 2022 with eco boost and I average 11.8 mpg. It at best gets 15 on interstate at 60mph and the dealership says that’s within the range. It hauls arse and pulls like a champ but don’t let anyone tell you lies about gas mileage.

Nothing ECO about it.
that's odd,. I have had 2018, 2020 and 2022 ecoboost raptors and all have gotten better than that. i get high 16's mostly interstate 15 mixed. These are heavier, taller, wider and more power than a tremor. I guess i just drive like more of a grandpa.

The 2.7 Ecoboost gets close to that.- I drive hwy miles to work and back, and the truck will show 25-26 average all week.

For the average person, the 3.5 is overkill in my opinion. Its a dam powerful motor, but the 2.7 pulls fine for pulling both of my boats. I pulled a 22' pathfinder with a T top from Florida to Louisiana with no power issues. 14 mgp average.

going from a GMC with the 5.3 to the ford 2.7, Gas mileage and towing, the 2.7 wins. the 5.3 blew up at 175k, so the test will be if this one can make it that long.

Put me on the Cam Phaser repair list. 2017 F150. I was mileages out of the extended warranty coverage. Paid the $3500 to repair and they had to replace them 3 additional times under the 2 year repair warranty. Sold it after that expired.

Went with the V8 coyote for new truck.

I have a ‘16 2.7 Ltr. Absolutely love it! Got 21 mpg before I put a 1.5” lift and 33x12.5 open country toyos on. Now get 19 mpg. Hauls a 16’ trailer with no issues.

I have tried it all. This truck is faster stock than the raptor I had previous. It has the 3.73 rear end and will run like a champ.

The gas mileage is trrrible and I feel there is something wrong with it

Something Doesn’t add up there.

I had an ecoboost that was about to blow up, but would have bought another one no problem. But I wanted another V8 so I went that route on my 22. Also with 3.73 rear end and 35”s I get just over 20mpg on the highway at a reasonable speed.

Well I would think the same except ford doesn’t agree with us. This tremor has less than 6k on the truck and averages 11.8 and the best I can do mpg wise is 15 if I get to 60 mph and set cruise at 60. Then it actually won’t hit it either. Only gets around 14.8 to 9.

It’s a kick in the nuts as I bought it in the hopes the gas mileage would be better than my tundra and jeep

It isn’t even close.

Like I said, the truck is super nice and I like everything about it

Gripes are mpg and the damn door won’t stay open when I go to get out. If I swing it open it just swings right back closed.

Hard to explain that without showing but it is another issue that gets you at the worst times

Sounds like total bullshite. Post a picture of your avg mpg screen off your truck.

If your 3.5 ecoboost can’t even touch 15 mpg your truck is broken, you are lying, or you only drive stop light to stop light at full throttle

Damn. You got me. Lol. I enjoy making up mpg claims online I can find how to post a picture for you and give a shot later.

Here are two from two different spots.

Just posted it for you. Now post your numbers

I need to see the 20 mpg and not on random eco calculator because I can make that read 30 at certain points

Also I am with you on something maybe being wrong. FORD doesn’t feel anything is wrong with this truck after 2 different places looking at it.

The facts are these things just don’t get the mileage that people like to say.

The 2.7 might but the 3.5 doesn’t get anywhere close.

i just traded in a 2011 f-150 lariat with 6.2 v8 for a 2019 lariat almost identically equipped 3.5 ecoboost. had to make a 6 hour drive to Memphis to pick it up. On way up in 6.2 mainly interstate at 80 MPH i averaged 14.8 MPG. On the way back, i averaged 18.0 in the ecoboost doing 80 again coming home. That 10 speed with that midrange power from 2000 to 4500. wow.

Loved my 6.2 and never had one issue after 240,000 miles. Hopefully this ecoboost gives me the same thing in terms of reliability. Right now on my normal daily commute, it is getting about 18.5 mpg, but i do a few stop and goes and then 75 mph for about half of trip. My 6.2 averaged about 14.4 when new but was about 13.5 at the end. just wasnt getting the mileage like it used too.
