I don't like that shotgun on a 4th and 1 against Bama. Just go old school where JD5 pretends to whisper something to the RB then drives up under the butt of his center with a tap count. Dude is 6'5", he's falling forward with a silent count like Tom Brady has been doing for 20 years.

More rub/pick/switch route combinations. Bama likes to play man and LSU has beaten them on these plays in the past, namely 2019.

Running QBs have always given Saban/Bama fits… JD has been better at making multiple reads before taking off and Denbrock has been good on calling QB designed runs. I like how that’s been trending vs Bama.

Bama has been good vs short/crossing routes (see MSU game) but really struggles vs deep vertical game.

So the wrinkle on offense will be having a strong QB run game while constantly attacking them deep.

Defensively:

You’ll have to be multiple on the looks you give BY while bringing pressure. Texas is the best example. I think they’ll have to use Perkins to blitz or spy (green dog) BY. You give him time or let him escape the pocket he will find the open guy.

tight end reverse from 2010. Mason taylor would run this play just as good as deangelo peterson

Hopefully Taylor would score rather than running out of bounds.

For starters I would love a deep ball that isn’t underthrown by 6 yards

TE reverse that scored that one time 10ish years ago

If that does not work, Statue of Liberty needs dusting off. It’s time.

Has LSU run the reverse this season? Mix that in after running the end around a couple of times.

Two TE sets that remind you of that old Shane Matthews Florida shovel pass.

I actually think we are setting it up and Mashburn will get one.

and take the 15 yards for roughing the QB.

So you want to intentionally get our starting QB, who is playing really well, hit late?

long touchdown passes.
I believe you actually meant to say
“More of those intentionally under thrown, Long TD passes” like the 1 to Jenkins when he had 3 Ole Miss DB’s all over him yet none managed to look back at the ball.

Yea that was a beautiful duck. Lol
