Do you think UTenn-UGA would have had even more viewers had they played at night?

I’m fine with 2:30.

Just not 11.

Announcers all say it’s the best atmosphere there is.

Because it is!

So many TN fans I talked with at the game were very disappointed they were seeing Tiger Stadium at 11 am.

People book these trips way out only to find out a week or 2 before if its moved for TV.

All LSU home games should be at night.

11 am games are basically a punishment. They should make that the penalty for rushing the field. Each time you rush, you’re sentenced to an 11 am game the next year

No clue. What does that have to do with anything?

that's NOT how any of this TV broadcasting/contracts work

7+ million pairs of eyeballs are how TV broadcasting makes money. Are they watching ESPN or are they watching LSU vs. Alabama?

Its time to deleverage "how any of this TV broadcasting...works".

I’d say the better we do and the higher we are ranked, the better chance of night games at home. Beginning of the year, regardless of our self opinion we were the “Jefferson Pilot” game based on our ranking.

I understand TV money is the lifeblood of the sport, but I wish LSU would just say “our tradition is to play home games at night. Whichever network that televises SEC games wants them is fine, but we aren’t playing during the day at home.”

The night game was at the same time as game 6 MLBWS. That was a factor.

UAB is an early game because the SEC wants to punish us for besting Bama.

LSU has been playing night games since before cars had headlights. Or that's what grandpa told me...

You took their money. You have to do what they say.

The LSU-Alabama game delivered 7.6 million viewers, peaking with 10.4 million, becoming ESPN’s most-watched regular season college football game since the Ole Miss-Florida State contest in 2016.

It’s also the most-watched Saturday college football game on the network since 2015 when Ole Miss-Alabama brought in 7.6 million viewers. The LSU-Alabama matchup ranks as the sixth-best Saturday game in the network’s history and stands as the sixth-most watched game on any network this year.

It’s short-sighted to not try to fit THIS into your lineup.

I have watched night games in Tiger Stadium for the past twenty years and I love them. But honestly, getting home at nearly 4 AM last weekend stung a bit….and in a couple of weeks we will have a game that starts at 8 PM instead of 6 PM. For those of us that travel every weekend, I have to admit the afternoon games are a whole lot easier to deal with.

Not to be difficult, but damn man, 100k people shouldn’t lose out on the best environment in sports because you pick a 3-4 hour drive over a hotel stay.
