LSU doesn't throw it across the middle

They tried that... put him at slot and still couldn't get him the ball.

The Boutte scape goat narrative was started to deflect blame from the sacred cow and like most fictitious rant narratives just continues out of pure repetitive ignorance

No one wants to admit it but he is not the same player anymore… that injury took his burst and suddenness…

Explain how you know this.

His YAC yardage in the past had a lot to do with space and his tackle breaking ability. We’ve seen a couple times when he still breaks tackles but there’s just no space anymore with the condensed coverages we get this season.

Before the season everyone was talking about the talent of our wr room and now all the sudden they just can't get open.

I’m thinking they will give better effort and want to be here

If Howard puts on some 10-15 LBs and comes to compete next year to start and shows he knows the offense Jayden is Toast

If they aren't get balls thrown to them will they?

Our top reciever has what 55 balls and 4 TD?

Did he not want to be here either?

They’re open and the sky cam view threads prove it almost every week. This is what I meant earlier, he can’t play the position from the pocket so why aren’t we using him in a Tebow, Cam, Braxton Miller, Darron Thomas type system? It makes no sense, Emery Should’ve carried it 20 times tonight, Daniels should carry it 15 times a game. During the winning steak he averaged 18 attempts per game. When he’s throwing it 30+ times that’s not good for us, especially like tonight when we’re throwing on 1st down all game, that’s when we really get into trouble.

I had high hopes like everyone did. I feel there is blame to go around. 7 didn’t help himself game 1. He had opportunities and didn’t perform. Conversely, I felt we should have used his talents better as the season progressed.

Overall, cream rises, and he didn’t. Perhaps the injury set 7 back more that we were led to believe.

Mind boggling. Moving forward, it was obvious that he definitely needs a different kind of leader. Hopefully he lands with a good one in the NFL.

I'm with you. I also don't like the zone reads as it seems JD doesn't make great decisions with this. Either committ to running jd or the rb. I'm sure you saw the fumble today.... if he leaves the ball in emery's gut he gets the 1st down...
JD dropping back 30 times to pass for us just isn't gonna win many games.

This has to be one of the worst uses of talent ever at lsu. He has as many receptions this year as last year and less yards.

Have you not bothered to look up and down this roster? We have 5 5 star players and only 2 of them can actually play at that level and 1 of them has out for the season since the first drive. Half of the 4 stars are either hurt, redshirted, or don’t contribute.

Then there are the guys like Emery, Ryan, and Boutte. They do contribute, but they are really just role players. Boutte obviously played at a much higher level before his injury, but it’s still par for the course for this team.

1 tds all season by preseason all American and someone touted as a 1st rd draft pick isn't par for the course. None of the guys you mentioned were pre season all Americans and one of the highest ranked,at their position,on nfl draft boards. Surely you see the difference.

No he isn’t good on the zone read. He’s very good on QB draw, QB power and that RPO when we run him down the line with Taylor in the flat. But that’s ok if you throw in some jet sweep or pop pass action you can get the backside guy ti stay home just like a zone read without JD having to read it. It’s not hard to use guys like him but Kelly and Denbrock have been very stubborn about it. Even if you don’t change anything the numbers still show were much better when we run on early downs so why are we always throwing it?

Yep, that is mind blowing. Would never have guessed that.
