U.S. exports of crude oil and petroleum products hit an all-time high of 11.8 million barrels per day (bpd) last week, The Maritime Executive reports.
In the week to November 25, a total of 11.776 million bpd of U.S. crude and petroleum were exported, the latest data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration showed.

According to the EIA’s data, weekly American crude exports have also set records multiple times in recent weeks.
The United States has ramped up exports of crude as the EU looks to non-Russian supply due to the embargo. In fact, U.S. exports of crude and petroleum products have been steadily rising this year, especially after the Russian invasion of Ukraine upended energy trade flows and buyers started shunning Russian products or began preparations to purchase non-Russian supplies.

The Port of Corpus Christi, Texas, for example, has set records this year in tonnage exported, largely due to crude oil exports. In the third quarter, the port beat its previous record from the second quarter, driven in large part by record exports of crude oil.
“In these times of uncertainty, moving America’s energy to other U.S. demand centers and our overseas allies and trading partners has never been more critical for our economic and national security,” said Sean Strawbridge, Chief Executive Officer for the Port of Corpus Christi.

Nah nah nah, can't be. Biden killed the US oil industry. It's dead, doesn't exist anymore. Kaput.

Ironically a majority of our refineries are setup to use heavy crude oil to refine into products including gasoline.
What we are exporting is normally lighter crudes that won’t work with the majority of refineries.
That coupled with the fact that no new refineries have been built in 70 years to handle our lighter crudes leads to it being exported to other countries who can run that crude.
That’s why we still import heavy crude from Venezuela, Canada, etc.

Because as high as it is here, it’s higher in Europe by a large margin.

Because owners of oil are able to participate in the global market.
And there’s currently a ton of light WTI crude that there is a domestic surplus here of, and our refineries also need other blends.

I worked at one of the larger refineries in corpus. Most of them down there are fitted to process the higher API crude found in the eagleford. Higher API is refined into gasoline and other light components easier than traditionally heavier varieties so the higher exports from there make sense.

Because we aren’t setup to refine it.

This is what no one wants to talk about, specifically the refining issue we have in this country. It does us no good to drill for oil if we can’t refine it. And our outdated refineries cannot process the oil we are pumping today. Until we start building modern refineries, we’ll still be reliant on foreign oil.
Drilling is great and necessary. But without modern refineries to process it it does us no good.

It's still too damn high IMO. You've been conditioned to think $2.60/gallon is a bargain.

Then why is Brandon making secret Texas oil export deals?

How much did we import?
*hint - it’s east to export a lot when we are selling off our strategic reserves.
I know some lefty will make a comment like “i thought Biden was shutting down drilling”.

You should get used to those prices because they aren’t going back to $0.99 per gallon.

Basically we are exporting oil we previously imported.
Misleading article. Imagine that.
