Depends on how much effort you want to put into it, your expectations for what it’ll look like at the end and if you are just going to run it through the automatic brush car wash place every week you might as well not worry about it.

Car wax is for boomers, Ceramic is the way to go. Properly applying is quite the weekend project though.

Previous thread here.
Regarding clay bar, the Mother's speed clay 2.0 is my preference. My dad has the clay bar towel, which is nice, but I prefer speed clay.

I just used Mothers ceramic hybrid on my truck and boat and I am impressed. It was super easy to apply and remove and put a mirror finish. Yesterday in the rain the water just fell off in sheets.I don't know how long it will last but as easy as it was to put on, I'll be happy to reapply.

Used the Adams’s ceramic kit from Amazon for $100ish (actually on sale right now for less). The stuff is just like Frank’s Red Hot - I put that shite on everything (except tires). Truck is filthy now from hunting/cane season and all the rain, but cleans so much easier and looks awesome after using the ceramic booster that comes in the kit. Wasn’t that terrible of a process, so very worth it IMO to save $6-7-800 and have someone else do it for me.

If you have an orbital, nano skin pads, will make short work of large panels. Much easier and quicker than clay with same results. Come back with clay bar or their sponge for tight spots.
