In all fairness to Meyers, when the rb lateraled to him he probably thought oh shite I guess I missed the part where we were lateraling and then just went with it. Stevenson is the one to blame here. I highly doubt Bill called that.

I'm not so sure. This is the same guy who chose to kickoff first in OT once, did a screen to Kevin Faulk at his own 20 or so in a tie game on 4th down, and put Gronk at safety on a hail mary situation against the Dolphins. Bill isn't immune to making dumb decisions late in games to lose.

The NFL has devolved into a horrible product. This isn’t a “dumb play”. This is an inconceivable play. Nobody who really cares about winning would do this.
