Has anyone here been to Times Square for NYE? And if so, why the hell would you subject yourself to that? It genuinely seems terrible.

Frick all that. My wife and I took a trip to NY a week after New Years and Times Square was still littered with trash. I can’t image being there on a night like tonight

I was supposed to go to a Classic Hollywood themed event in the city. I put off buying a 'costume', then decided I would just do a top hat and cane, now I've changed to not going at all. I'm grilling a steak alone and then going on a long bike ride.
So, I'm not doing anything but at least I'm not spending $150 to be bored at a party that I didn't really want to go to anyway.
I'm certifiably old.

Food is cooked, football is on, about to start with wine for me and bourbon for hubs.
To whoever asked about times square- I have heard it was worse than bourbon street with people peeing themselves or wearing diapers because you can't move for hours and hours before the ball drops. Sounds horrific to me.
