In today's era of college football and the transport portal, all the talk about Howard leaving, it got me thinking...has any QB ever left LSU and had success? I just can't think of any QBs in the past 10+ years that we really missed out on.

Justin McMillan had a pretty good season at Tulane a couple years back.

I believe Humphries the QB that left Arnsparger and went to Northeast had a nice pro career. I would call that successful.

I can't help to think how sick all those OSU fans had to have been after losing the GOAT #9.

Billy Kilmer left the Saints and had some success with the Redskins.

Does that count?

There hasn't much relative success with QBs that stay, much less the ones that leave.

For sure...He's undoubtedly gotten a PHD by now because of his prowess as a former LSU QB

The portal is not that old and LSU never really had a lot of great QB's...some good ones but not many

No, but LSU has never really had a wealth of talent at that position, so that’s not saying much.

He just won the Walter Payton award (Heisman for FCS) and is projected to get drafted

He had a monster year.

LSU has never been really known to have stacked QB rooms... Sure we had some good guys come through but it hasn't been consistently stacked.
