They probably haven’t figured out how to update their website to incorporate the new Disqus format. Happened to WBRZ last time Disqus made a change too.
Oh, sweet Summer child.

They can't handle the truth, apparently.
I don’t know if WBRZ has a group of normal people that you used to see commenting on their stuff or not, but every news social media page I’ve ever visited has an insane number of stupid asses who comment. Trained monkeys could type out better gibberish

These local media outlets (Ch.2 and Ch.9, and the existing 'newspaper' called the advocate) are digging their own graves. In the not to distant past these media outlets were actually part of the community and the community felt as though the media cared about the community.
Not so much now. I know Ch.9 has changed hands several times.Ch.33 (?) I don't even recognize and the newspaper is a crime. Ch.2 I have not watched in years. Journalism is dead and if it were not for sports I believe these stations would no longer 'report' on 'news' . They are dying a slow death and I believe they have their heads in the sand, what a shame. I'm glad that Bill Black is not around to see it.

Yes, they hate the redirect on their narrative.

I’ve begun to regard any news site with comments disabled as having some agenda. If people can’t talk about a story, then you’re obviously afraid of people talking, and therefore shouldn’t be trusted.

Maybe they could make a deal with Chicken and cross post articles that will appear in new OT Local News Forum and discuss away. It could be a blend of News and Politics in one page without the NSFW stuff.
Or WBRZ could just create their own forum plugin with their Content Management Server for their site. But then WBRZ would be responsible for user names and other privacy data that every so often becomes an issue if the user data gets compromised.
That is why I suspect most places will farm out to Disqus. But then most places still want emails and other information so they can spam you with headlines and hidden ads.
One other thing about Disqus, Disqus also allows users to have one account across many different sites.

Pretty sure it gets that memo anytime a mirror is involved

But, but, but they are BR's "award winning" station. All the local stations ignore the LA political climate and just regurgitate the network slop when it comes to national news.

Just join your local rants and raves facebook group and stop yappin'.
