No you cannot. Especially in Grapevine.

I live in a 2,100 SF $375K house in a nice part of Bedford, so, yes you can. It'd be a little more difficult in Grapevine, but could probably be done if the buyers are willing to do the updating.

Serious question, what race are you? That area is 95% Hispanic or Indian. Lots of Tech people that live in the apartments in that area. You might have to go further out to be around people that actually want you around. It’s not all bad areas around there but definitely not diverse.

I just had a 6 month stint in Dallas and lived in the West village neighborhood and it was awesome. 2 blocks from the train station Id take to American Airlines for games, trolley line to take me up and down McKinney, target & Kroger were a 3 minute drive across 75, endless options of bars & restaurants as well.

I certainly would not live in Uptown dallas right now. That place has gotten pretty bad over the past 3-4 years IMO. I live in lower greenville/knox/henderson and it is pretty good. I've been everywhere tons and it's good with lots of bars/restaurants. Some really good fancy spots have opened the last couple of years for birthdays and celebrations

Most of Oak Cliff is bad but Kessler Park and the Bishop Arts are great. Lots of old money in that area and huge homes.

My sister worked and lived in Bishop Arts and its a young professional clientele

Reading comp hard for ya? I didn’t intend for him to go out and buy tomorrow. I’ve advised my kids to own land, and my son is doing just that. I’d advise everyone to own land. Nothing stupid about it.

I somewhat agree. Uptown is a shadow of its former self even though there is much more there now than at it's height. A bad crowd started hitting the nightlife there about 6-7 years ago & caused alot of people to stop going out there & leave. Harwood & Victory Park areas have gotten much better. We live in Oak Lawn close to Highland Park & love it. No safety issues at all. Knox-Henderson & Lower Greenville areas are the best places to go out for nightlife now.

Deep Ellum is going through another huge crime wave. I only go there for shows at the Bomb Factory now & nothing else. People are getting murdered & robbed on the regular down there now. The entertainment district right northwest of Deep Ellum has been flooded with all the Bottle Service clubs for the douchebags & Insta-hoes.

The Lake Karolyne area of Las Colinas is a good area with the Toyota Music Factory being pretty active.

Uptown is also a great area. Those saying things like Prosper aren't wrong if you want isolated suburbs with big box stores and one hell of a long drive to Dallas for anything.

Las Colinas to downtown is 15-20 minutes door to door unless its rush hour. Plus it is easy to both Love and DFW.

The wife and I do a night out every few months at the Omni Las Colinas. You can walk to a bunch of bars and restaurants. Sitting at the pool all I saw were 80% females aged 22-30 walking their dogs or jogging the lake. Unreal eye candy

go Southlake due to your commute. Easy access to Ft. Worth as well which is better than a night out in Dallas.

A little too rich for mid 20’s couple.

That quaint area by lake Carolyn in las Colinas looks to have so much potential but a good amount of the retail space is usually vacant with for lease signs everywhere.

Seems like around the Omni hotel and with all those apartments and condos, there would be a burgeoning retail and restaurant scene but that’s not the case for some reason.

All of these people are trying to put you out to pasture in the burbs. Las Colinas is what you are looking for. Wife and I lived there for 3 years when we first moved to DFW. We had a blast living there. Great spot for everything you could want to do. Cheap Uber ride to anything In Dallas. We are now late 30s and living the suburban dream in Keller which is fine, but dont be in a rush to get to the burbs. Go where you can have some fun first

FWIW - I'm in the "False Boobs" area of North Bushville and I love it.
