He isn’t even remotely a close comparison to Klay IMO. Trey could win the 3pt or the Slam dunk contest any given year.

Klay isn’t that athletic. Even before his injuries.

Year two Klay (35.8 min/game)
16.6 pts, 3.7 rbs, 2.2 assists, 1 stl, 0.5 blks, .422 FG%, .401 3pt%, .841 ft%

Year two Trey (30.9 min/game)
14.5 pts, 3.6 rbs, 1.4 assists, 1.1 stl, 0.6 blks, .482 fg%, .408 3p%, .907 ft%

It’s a decent comp. Klay was one of the best shooters in the game. Trey is right there already in year 2. Trey has a ways to go on defense, but his length gives him the opportunity to be a very versatile and valuable defender.

He is not Klay, but Klay provides a hopeful path of progression for what Trey could become.
