It certainly looks like Chaffin and Casanova are pitching much better and look ready for this part of the season.
Unfortunately the batting continues to be very subpar against the better teams ;cannot hit the better pitchers and clutch hitting is rare.
It seems obvious where the problem lies, either the hitting coach is not coaching them well or the talent for hitting is not as good as we think. I favor the former as the main long-standing problem ,although I believe we could improve on the recruiting.

Definitely no shame in losing to Oklahoma. But yes, our helplessness in hitting top notch pitching is not just a tactical problem this season, it’s an ongoing program problem.

Beth has recruited some top notch talent. Again Top 5 in 2023 class and Top 2/3 in 2024 class. The next 2-3 years can't be squandered.
