That’s what the guy told me. No I didn’t check and assumed it would be on both sides. This is what the outside looks like, so I assumed it was scuffed off.

He said the date is on the inside and gave me a receipt that showed the DOT numbers. 3821.

Not great but not the end of the world. I have never had to ask for or verify the manufacture date when buying tires but I will from now on.
