I don’t think people realize the potential of this thread if a few mentioned topics are explored just a little deeper

No one said he was an angel so I’m not sure where that came from.
I can only speak for his time at Lakeshore and what he has done for this program and how much he means to all of us.
And that he did not deserve to be fired over what was mostly one very shameless and persistent set of parents.

Just saying there are always 2 sides to every story.

“Lakeshore principal April Jarrell, who said she attended the semifinals game but missed the state championship due to family obligations, said the decision to terminate Nunez came down to multiple factors, including various decisions made throughout the season "that didn't align with the expectations of coaches of Lakeshore High School."

He wanted to be in administration. Once he used Lakeshore as a stepping stone to that position, he has done nothing to support our program. NOTHING.

So after talking to a current coach on Northshore, it seems this may not be completely accurate. This was the former coaches third school on the Northshore. And is current disciplinarian of the school- which apparently can not be a coach in a hat position. Again, no clue as I have no idea of stipulations for their rules on that.

He just said that there is more to this entire thing from what he heard. And like someone else said, looks like the program will again be looking for a new coach yet again.

Bet your Northshore coach friend knows of the family in the center of most of this.

Why has this thread died? It’s too interesting to drop off the radar.

Wasn't Danny the assistant during the first year? Crazy how they gambled on a dude who looked like one of the players little brother haha. Boy did that pay off. I figured they had a lot of troublesome parents but Kim just ignored them lol. Love the culture of that school.

yeah we talked about it a lot. I think he was 22 and just out of USL his first year with Rickey. What a gamble that paid off to an all time HOF career

Coach Danny has a legit shot at the national All Time wins record

amazing and still going strong, the man has more energy and passion for coaching and the kids than anyone I have ever met. he has had a major impact on my life and I am greatful for the five years I spent working for him

I know Boomer from when I was younger when his parents had the facility Frozen Ropes in Slidell. He is a great coach and a good guy. Hope he continues to do great in his coaching.

Anybody heard anything about the Sulphur job? Figured with Sam announcing early they would’ve had someone lined up.
