Depends what kind of bike they're riding. Dual sport/adv/enduro riders are mostly cool unless they're the hoodlums doing wheelies in a pack wearing no gear.

now do bicyclists

Let me think about how many bikes I've had to navigate around on the road to and from work the last year. Oh, yeah.....none. They tend to stay off the interstate.
Motorcyclists are definitely a bigger issue. Have had multiple laydowns right in front of me over the last year, with at least one who likely died because the median poles with the taught guidewires don't move when a fleshy body plows them at 90+ mph.

No.

Not really but here are the cars of drivers I usually have a problem with:

1. Sports cars
2. Big dumb trucks
3. Imports with a ton of after market parts
4. Gangastamobiles
5. Any car with eyelashes on the front lights.

Usually those types are tailgating, not using turn signals, cutting me off, etc.

Multiple laydowns in the period of a year that you witnessed right in front of you ?

I don't believe you.

Don't care what you believe. Has 100% happened from last May to now. Three total, two before Thanksgiving last year. One dude just got up, picked his bike up, and tried to save face. The other guy I stopped to assist and call 911, but pretty sure he died.

I have a 50-mile commute to work, btw, so it's not that unlikely. 26,000 miles a year on mostly highways and interstates, you come across a lot of bikes. Can't tell you how many more I've seen asking for it with the lane-splitting and reckless riding. Like a bunch of Dodge Charger owners out here.

I have no problem with motorcycles unless they are super speeding, and going into between lanes like they own the road. And if they are super loud. I fricking HATE loud arse cars and motorcycles.

This makes no sense. When I see someone in a car doing something stupid, it doesn’t make me hate everyone else who drive cars. Same for trucks. No one group, except bicyclists, is universally bad.

I commute 60 miles one way every day and I decided to observe yesterday and this morning.

I counted 26 motorcycles in total, 2 of which were driving like asses. The rest were just putting along, going about their way like everyone else.

Bicycle riders are worse. They just ride around like they should be able to do anything and they don't need to yield to vehicles.

I myself have about a 50 mile commute. Been that way for 3 years now. Have seen 0 laydowns in that time.

Gotta ask

Did you cause them?

I try to stay off the interstate on my motorcycles. I stick to less traveled mountain roads, especially gravel/forrest service roads, and dirt for the most part.

Speaking of which, since this is a complain about motorcycle thread, let's turn it into a complain about Lousyana drivers thread. You people need to stay out of the mountains. You suck at mountain driving. God forbid you have a corner and an elevation change, it melts your brains.

This exact thing happened to me on the spillway bridge. fricker came out of nowhere and had to swerve the bike over at the last second. I was doing about 70 and he easily had to be doing 110-120 mph. At that speed the bike would have gone through the bed of my truck and not to mention him rocketing through the back window. They know the cops aren't going to bother chasing them. I wouldn't. I'd say frick em, let him launch himself 1/2 mile into something.

Yes, because your anecdotal experience can be extrapolated to every individual with a similar commute.

Did you cause them?

Of the two I mentioned, one happened in my lane, well ahead of me (and a few other cars). He just skidded straight off the road down into a ditch (with no obstacles to hit, fortunately for him).

The more serious one occurred in the oncoming lane as traffic was coming downhill and entering a curve. The rider was zipping between cars and appeared to clip one on the front end as he cut back in front of it, causing him to lose control. He may have just lost control without an impact. No idea. It all kinda happened in slow motion and then there was a full-speed cloud of dust. Had it not been for the median cable barrier, he'd have ended up in our lanes.

But to answer your question, unless I've got telekinetic powers, and a subconscious intent to cause harm to others, then nah, wasn't me.

Probably a fair count. But you know which ones you tend to notice when you aren't really trying to?

It seems to always be the crotch rocket riders, not the hogs or touring bikes, fwiw. I can't recall the last time I saw anyone riding a Harley or an Indian acting stupid, actually.

One was a Hayabusa, the other was a GSXR (not sure what displacement).
