I don’t have an issue with open carry but I do have to laugh at them. It’s always a guy with a huge goofy handgun, a 5.11 hat and a Grunt Style shirt. Never fails.

The conceal carry deal is the great con the anti gun folks ever pulled off. They get people to willingly identify as gun owners and put all their information, address, etc., on a database.

Hence the rise of the constitutional carry bills that have been enacted in a multitude of states.

You get pulled over a lot?

I think it’s been 10 years since I was pulled over for speeding on I-10.

LA should have constitutional carry already. Stop electing retards that don't support it.

I moved here 12 years ago and I had a concealed permit from Charlotte NC. The year I moved here Louisiana quit reciprocating out of state concealed permits.

These money grubbing whores from Louisiana wanted another hundred to $200 hundred dollars to start the process. I had to be a resident in the state of Louisiana for 10 years or I would have had to pay that charge.

I’m so petty that I never paid it and that’s after paying hundreds of thousands in state income tax. That’s $100 in tax they will never get from me

Louisiana only wants law abiding people to pay. They don't actually care about the constitution.

I have been in law enforcement for almost 30 years. The sight of someone open carrying makes me cringe. A LEO will always have his hand near the firearm to keep someone from trying to take it. That comes from training you receive.

Muh tactical training.

Knowing it upsets cops makes me want to open carry.

Don't forget some of these losers are fighting against your rights.

Don't have any issues with anyone wanting to carry. But when you walk around Walmart with .45 caliber handgun that looks like a bazooka on your hip and your reaching up to shelves and leaving that weapon exposed for any nut job to take. You are a liability to everyone there.

Son, you don't understand the rattlesnake reflexes on that 300lb boy who doesn't have enough self discipline to bypass the Krispy Kreme.

I lived in ATL and got my first permit there. Wait, I applied for Georgia's first, but the applied for a Utah permit and got it far faster than GA. Georgia was a 90 day shall issue, but Dekalb county routinely found ways to make people wait nearly a year before they issued the permit.

So before I moved, I called TX DPS and asked how long I had after I became a Texas resident I could carry on the GA permit (anticipating months long delays in TX issuance, cause bureaucracy) the lady said, you're fine until the GA permit expires (which gave me almost two years.) So refreshing. And then you have Louisiana. LA going to LA.

Totally depends on the situation...

I will open carry following a hurricane, until we get the power back on. And I will not go a lot of places during that time. Home Depot or similar, gas or similar, etc. And fwiw, I've seen plenty of people doing it then.

Otherwise, I prefer not to. As you state, it's visible; I prefer not to draw attention to myself.

Pretty much this. Kinda also go by if I'm carrying because of animals the open and I'm probably in the country on some land etc. If I'm carrying because of human animals then CC and anywhere people will be all around me and close to me. Do t want to advertise or become a target because of it.

If I'm carrying a firearm I prefer to carry concealed. In my opinion if a thug is going to start something he is more apt to try and take me down to get my firearm. If I am carrying a concealed weapon no one knows I have it till I need to use it.

You should have the right (actually you already do based on the constitution) to carry however you want, concealed or not.

With that said, you make yourself a possibly unwilling participant in any armed confrontation should a perp see your exposed weapon.
