Naphtha Tank hit by lightening and exploded. Big arse fire.

yeah. Buddies house is in the 5 mile radius they are evacuating, so we are all packing up and heading down to grand chenier for the evening

Use water to cool and try protect equipment/product around it. And use foam to try to extinguish the hydrocarbon fire.

Still shelter in place for 3mi radius. Mandatory evacuation for 1.5mi radius.

The only thing worse would've been to see/hear/feel a very near strike while wading back to the boat because you and your idiot brother convinced each other "its definitely going to miss us to the north". Ask me how I know.

We were watching all the boats hauling arse down the channel to get south of that storm.

I will say, it had some intense lightning

Looks like smoke still slowly coming off. Been burning 4ish hours now.
Thankfully another tank didn’t catch.
