Roger leave this kind of thing to people that have a formal education, its over your head.

A formal education is a handicap in my book. Higher education and religion fill people’s mush brain with absolute bullshite in many cases. Culture, government, educational institutions and society at large are generally not your friend if you are searching for truth. Those institutions are designed to keep you as a rat in a maze.

6th grade isn't a formal education, which is why you don't understand that mores are subjective.

When people grow up, their world expands. You still have a chance.

This is pure BS. No one ever considered that to be “highly moral” and you know it.

The defense of the white race was absolutely seen as a moral crusade by many. A century before that, the enslavement of black people by white people was argued not only as moral, but as a reflection of the Christian god’s divine natural order. Hell, some went so far as to say that slavery itself was an institution of god. Or do you want to deny that as well?

Do you consider it moral to have de jure racism targeting Asian students? That's suddenly become "respectable". Do you consider it moral to deliberately seed nursing homes with a deadly (to the elderly) virus? Do you consider it moral to weaponize the criminal justice system against dissidents? Do you consider it moral to bomb innocent civilians in poor countries? Do you consider it moral to exploit slave labor in Xinjiang? Do you consider it moral to deliberately expose women to rapists?

No, no, no, no, no, and no.

That was easy. Any tougher quiz questions in mind?

The illusion is an illusion of an illusion. Impossible to define or determine.

Over the past 70 years, survey respondents worldwide have consistently said they think humanity is experiencing a decline in kindness, honesty, and other values—but a peer-reviewed study published by Nature this week asserts that this perceived moral decay is just an illusion.

All I know is that these days when I hold a door for someone they act legitimately surprised. 10-15 years ago that wasn't the case.

There's my contribution to the subject.

Theyre designed today to present a united view.

They're supposed to expose you to many different views and opinions which expands your world, not shrinks it.

Reality is individual, and subjective in the human mind

A lot of simple folks in this thread buy into it.

I find the gesture to more likely be completely ignored in my recent experience when I hold a door for someone else. That’s cool, though. I’m not holding the door FOR a “thank you”.
