I'm not disagreeing. I just don't think it's a realistic way to move forward. If these players are that fragile, then we should move away from them. We can't plan around them only being available 75% of the time (or less). The margins are too narrow to be successful that way.

People are going to point to guys like Kawhi Leonard, Embiid and Durant missing time. But they haven't won anything in a long time, cause they can't stay healthy and the teams falter. It's not a viable plan moving forward.

The vast majority of "stars" play fewer than 70 games per season.

Jokic played 69 this season, Murray played 65, Butler played 64, Bam played 75, LeBron played 55, AD played 56, Tatum played 74, Jaylen Brown played 67. Those are the "star" players from the conference finals teams. Only 25% of them played more than 70 games. A "good" expectation is for your star players to play somewhere between 60-70 games. I'm not really a fan of that either, but that's what the NBA is in today's game.

If you look at the top 30 scorers in the NBA from last season, only 8 of them played more than 70 games.

*I just picked 30 players because there are 30 teams, so that would represent the average top scorer for each team, though I do realize that there are teams with more than one player in the top 30 scorers*
