I've seen a rat in m garage twice.

I set two traps out with peanut butter and walnuts. No luck.

Suggestions are welcome.

Peanut butter is the best, sometimes it just takes time. Put them in the corners along walls where you have seen them and just be patient. It took me a month to catch a rat that kept getting into my ceiling but I got it eventually.

Glue traps work well also, put peanut butter in the middle section of it to attract them.

When I stopped using bait I was more successful. Find the main travel corridors and find a bottleneck. Set it right at that bottleneck. You can also create a bottleneck with sticks, etc. If you know where he is entering/exiting then you should be able to get him.

Tomcat bait blocks. Rats just cannot resist them.

Victor M326 is the trap.
Place perpendicular to the wall, trigger against the wall.
Peanut butter in the small cup, pea size amount.

If there are any other food sources in the garage, pet food etc.. get it out.

I had a rat near my shed. Traps wasn't working.

I had to set bricks along my shed and create a dark, confined space. I put the trap in there and killed the fricker the same night.

Catching rats does take some creativity, as they are very smart.

We use Ramik pellets with good luck. They dehydrate and will leave looking for water as they die.
