Source: Former #Chiefs RB Darrel Williams is working out for the #Saints today.

Williams has 15 total TDs and has proven to be a terrific pass-catching back throughout his career.

That doesn’t sound good for Miller.

Not a bad option, I like Williams but there are better options available even this late in August, though salary demands would likely be a little higher. Leonard Fournette and J.D. McKissic are both better pass catching options than Williams, plus Fournette can still get some tough yardage in the trenches

Of course Hunt is still unsigned, and Dalvin Cook & Zeke Elliot are there but I'd assume those 2 would want too much money for what we would plan to use them for.

His last season in KC he had over 40 receptions for almost 500 yards. Would be some great depth.

Did he play special teams in KC? Even with the apparent good news on Miller’s injury, if he can play special teams there could be a role for him as the 4th back, even when AK gets back. Not sure how much he has left in the tank, though.

Hunt would threaten a defense too much. We need another plodder who is coming off injury

Oddly enough while I was watching the game I got to wondering what happened to Williams since he used to be a Chief. I think he'd be a very solid short term option at the minimum. He's been a better pro than I imagined.

I am shocked tho that the Saints didn't go for Fournette. He must want more money than the Saints are willing to offer.
