Why didn't LSU go for two when the score was 26-25?

Analytics probably.

Kick the PAT and score another TD, score would be 34-25.. 9 points, 2 possession game.

Fail the two point conversion and score another TD, score would be 33.25... 8 points, 1 possession game.

Can you imagine if we’d missed it and only been up 2 instead of 3 just before the pick 6?

That’s why.

Take the guaranteed points unless you HAVE to gamble.

Going for two is a sign of desperation. That early in the game, we weren’t desperate.
