Yeah I’m on the side that he’s still alive I think he left a lot of things as diversions car, no boat, notes.
Idk if he's still alive, but I don't think he got in a boat at that boat launch. There's dams both up river and down river from the launch. He could not have made it very far.
I think the car abandoned at the launch and the missing boat are distractions, which tell me he is not planning on killing himself. At least not right away. Why take the time and effort to throw off the search if you plan on putting a bullet in your head?

This guy might end up like Robert William Fisher with everyone not sure if he killed himself somewhere or still out there

What if his goal is to screw as many people as possible and waste a ton of resources? He may have led them to the launch, with a missing boat. Strapped on a lot of those Velcro ankle weights that old ladies wear when exercising, put on a backpack full of bricks, slowly waded out to neck deep water, and then put a bullet in his head.
The gun and his body would sink to the bottom. And nobody would be looking there because of the diversion he set. This would waste a crap ton of government resources, and he would die eventually anyway.

I think the guy killed himself. Fell into river/water. Eaten by gator.

Yes. And they have justice too. Maine justice.

Few weeks back me and my old lady watched a documentary called Lake Placid. I think it was in Maine. They have big arse Crocs in some of them lakes up there. Betty White is still alive as well.

Guy was 8 miles down the road already. Seems like he was clear of police. If he planned this ahead of time, why would you leave the car at the boat ramp? Hell park a mile down the road and walk back to it? Or drive the car in the damn water and police would have no idea. Seems much more likely he had a different vehicle parked there IMO.
He had someone pick him up I’m betting.
Probably in a CIA safe house in the Caribbean sipping rum drinks.

Because people that want to cause that kind of chaos typically want to be alive to witness what they've done.

I'm trying to remember a mass shooter that killed themselves prior to being cornered by police? It seems to happy when they are about to be caught, I can easily be forgetting many of them. But it seems more often than not they run and hide and don't kill themselves I agree.

Ultimately it's unlikely he's done and pulled off anything this elaborate
Much higher chance his body is just laying in the woods somewhere and they just haven't found it yet
Took them awhile to find the Laundrie (whatever his name was) too didn't it? I know he sought a pretty rural area to off himself in
