This was one of the early events that showed the power of The Rant.

Their was a "guest" replay analyst aptly named Dick Burleson, a former ref who took it upon himself to give Florida an extra second vs LSU in 1989.

Turns out Mr Burleson was on the "Speakers Bureau" and according to his website one of his frequent talks was in Tuscaloosa with.... the REC.

Rant sleuths smoked that out and they pulled the plug on that site that afternoon.

Tough year. Don't forget about the FG team not going out for the last play of the Ole Miss game.

That may have been the worst call in the history of SEC football, and it was a gamechanger.

Heck, both Verne and Gary agreed it was an interception!

Was also, even the gump fans after the game said we were screwed there Some nonsense about Juio touched the ball first so was dead ball or something
Like Sat who knows if would have affected the outcome but would have a fighting chance; I think we were down by 7 or 8?

This quite possibly would have turned the game around in our favor.

Therefore, the shite call...

Why did we expect anything less, being that replay official is in B'ham. Damn Bama homer. CLEARLY an interception and LSU goes on and wins the game. Just an awful call.

Replay official was an Alabama alumni.

Down 6 at the time.

That call allowed Bama to kick a FG and go up two scores.

Again, one of MANY blatant calls the corrupt officials "missed" that day.

No worries. They rigged games for them in BR too. Bama alum don't discriminate when it comes to corruption.

Just one of many examples of the SEC/ALA review Birmingham office screwing a Bama opponent. Dozens of examples over the last 7 decades I've been following the Tigers
