There’s still a Western Sizzler in Opelika Alabama. About 10 miles from the Auburn campus.

Hit up Globes, then run over to Shoppers Fair.

I remember Globes on Florida Blvd. Back in the early seventies I lived in an apartment that was near to it and I can still see that sign that lit up letters of the store's name one by one. I don't remember it being dirty but I would just walk in and get what I wanted and leave. It probably was dirty.

They had the weakest return policy ever for PC games. I’d buy one, beat it in 48 hours, then return it saying there was a virus on the disk. I probably did this to over 50 games.

My parents were garbage for letting me do this and I probably led Sierra games to the brink of bankruptcy

We're like Eskimo bros or something.

I used to get games days before they went on sale all the time by giving a dude there cash for the game plus an extra 5 bucks.

I remember when Shoppers Fair on Plank Road burned down. Located behind that Shoppers Fair was a Kroger Grocery store. I remember getting a hamburger at Blue Bird on Plank Road. That Blue Bird later became Franks. I also remember Hemmingways(sp) Furniture on Plank Road. Whenever I wanted a cold drink I would go to the Frost Top on Plank Road and get a root beer in a frozen mug.

Mr & Mrs Ramer were awesome...you could run a tab...great meat market...when they closed Mike opened up Tramonte's...
my daughter worked there for a while...
we would sit in the back and tell lies and drink beer on Friday afternoons...

Not to mention the snoball stand next door and French Market a block away. All were great. Better times then.

It was disappointing when Ramer’s closed. I think it was only suppose to be temporary yet they never reopened.

Why didn't you just stuff it down your pants? Would have been a lot less trouble.

Don't kid yourself...you were just like the assholes walking out of Home Depot with a buggy full of power tools.
