Hornady SST
Banish 30 suppressor

Hunting the wood line along a game trail in a ladder stand. Had 8 does here yesterday and I’ll take whatever puts meat in the freezer. Have some really nice bucks on camera and I’ll take those too!

Good luck everyone!

I do love whitetail hunting with that 6.5 Grendel.
Just a pleasure to shoot tac driver.
I like the SST and the Barnes 115gr tac tx-bt
Both do plenty of damage

Speaking of,

I’m in a box in Upper Richland Parish looking for a buck for my youngest (8). Cool and breezy and damp. Planted my plots yesterday and Thursday.

6.5 Grendel in a pasture.

ETA, seen 4 does a good ways off. Might let him bust one for the freezer if one gets in range.

Sabine 55 not much wind yet light ne. Saddle on a trail 30.06 kind of morning. Had small spike on feeder until I walked in. Small 6 on other camera at 630 - probably took 10 min too long climbing up this morning but we will see what rolls by. Rut should be kicking off any day around here but had two bucks together at a feeder last night.

It’s been one of those mornings.

One year ago tomorrow I killed my biggest buck after moving into a ladder stand in a creek bottom in mid morning. Thought I’d try it again today. Only problem is some bastard hornets built a nest 8-10’ above my stand. Thought maybe the cool damp weather would have them holed up, but no dice. Decided to sit on the ground under the stand. Had a young 8 come through and leave behind me. He apparently found a doe to chase because he ran her back through at 20 yards from me. Other bucks were trailing along and started fighting, barely visible through the brush (but easily visible from the stand)

The fighting bucks drew the attention of another that came in behind me and saw me move. Everything went to hell from there.

Gonna let the bottom quiet down and alip back in there later in a better hiding spot
