As bad as House is as a DC, he’s a below average LB Coach as well. The regression of Perkins has been obvious, Penn had not improved, and Speights clearly had not been what he was supposed to be.
Would be great to get a good LB Coach, be it the next DC to salvage Perkins and Penn and develop young Weeks, Braithwaite and incoming recruits Adkins and Keys.

There are a couple of DCs I would prefer over Baker, but I wouldn’t be disappointed by him at all. After seeing what he did with Clarke and Baskerville, I think he would definitely fix LB play here inside of one season.

Penn doesn’t have great speed but he’s solid. He at least makes plays at the point of attack and plays physical. I think he could be very good if we had a well coached D with good players around him.

Think this is a big part of the reason Weeks has been so good when he has played. Hasn't received enough coaching to ruin him yet.

Speights has gone the whole year without a TFL

For comparison, Perkins is further away from the ball than him and has 11.5
