re: Yearly Thanksgiving Play By Play Gamethread

Look forward to this thread every year. Didn’t think I’d ever have to contribute as I look forward to our holiday get togethers that are always a good time and drama free for the most part.

This one is more tame compared to rest, but thought it was worthy of honorable mention. We typically do thanksgiving at my wealthy aunt’s house out in the country. Her and her husband have land, barn, horses, lake, badass game room….the whole nine.

Well it’s about 7pm we have all been drinking, watching football, playing pool throwing darts for a few hours. Everyone’s having a good time enjoying the buzz. I see my uncle drop the attic ladder down in the hall across the way. Well he goes up to look for something (item was never in the attic) not long after my 12yo nephew follows him up unbeknownst to him. Couple minutes go by then all of a sudden my sister runs out the room starts cussing screaming at said nephew who has fallen through the ceiling over the island in the kitchen.

At this point we all stop playing run to the kitchen to see what happened. Sure as shite there’s about a 4x4 hole with insulation hanging out the ceiling. As you can imagine everyone is looking around at each other back and forth thinking oh shite. That’s when I took the opportunity to blurt out “tis the season” to which only my BIL, other nephew, and wife (no pics) laughed. Needless to say Christmas and next Thanksgiving will probably be moved to another location.
