This could be the dumbest viewpoint ive ever seen. Why even care about any game after 2 losses if thats how you look at things?

Can LSU get a bowl with a higher ranked opponent? Just asking.

Half the teams will.

I would say it's an upgrade because of a potential match up with Notre Dame, also the teams are ranked higher than last year's Citrus Bowl match up.
But I believe the team Bowl payout is a little better with the Citrus.

I think Ole Miss or Missouri are getting left out the NY6 for some auto qualification G5 team

That was potentially true before Louisville lost to Kentucky, but I would expect both to be in the top 11 of the CFP unless Louisville wins the ACC.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Coach Cajun Kelly coaching against Notre Dame.

NC State is hot and a team we don’t ever get to play. The ND matchup doesn’t do anything for me because Jayden and Hartman are likely opting out.

I mean, the ND matchup would still be way more exciting to the average fan just because of ND fans' disdain for BK due to him daring to leave them for another school.

Been waiting years for NC St vs LSU. Hope it's this year! I went to both and we're also a house divided.

Us too. Live in Apex. I’m LSU, my wife is NC State. My sons wouldn’t know what to do.

That is what I want to see. It will probably be against some crap team that has nothing to lose.

Bowl games unless you’re playing for the championship are a reward for the players coaches and the fans that travel. If you’re not going to the game, why do you care. Other than another chance to see LSU play. Get a life.

Well, I'm sure that LSU would like to see a better fan turnout than last year. While the bowl itself may not be an upgrade, I dare say that more fans would be likely to travel to see us play Notre Dame than they would if we played NCST or some boring arse Big X team in the Cheeze-Itz Bowl.

Let’s see….I graduated from LSU, I love LSU football, we get to see maybe new talent hit the field.

You must get swiped left a lot.

Cheez-It is a higher echelon bowl. Today I saw the Cheez-It Citrus matchup projection Ole Miss v Iowa.

One of the ESPN writers had LSU vs. Wisconsin in Tampa.

As for the Maryland uniforms, they’ve gone back to a traditional look this season. Helmets have Terps script and they have traditional jersey and pants striping.

Is this an upgrade, downgrade, or a push compared to the Cheese-It bowl?

Who knows. All these corporate named bowls sound cheap

It’s about to be Nussmeier‘s team .I have confidence that he’ll do well. He’s not the runner Jaden is, but if that offensive line gives him protection, look out!

There are plenty of ND fans whose disdain for BK came well before his departure, and would say his leaving is their favorite BK moment.

Has any LSU team ever played NC State? That seems like a novel matchup for this team
