Defense is overall slow compared to past LSU defenses. That itself is intolerable

TOTAL DEFENSE rankings:

2022-2023 ranked 46th giving up 361 yards per game.

2023-2024 ranked 104th giving up 409 yards per game.

The final rankings out of 130 teams: 116th in 3rd down defense, 114th in red zone defense, 101st in turnovers forced, 71st in tackles for loss, 92nd in opponent passer efficiency, 89th in run defense, and 101st in yards allowed per game. Why is he still here. This is not even close to LSU standards. Make the change CBK.

Rest my Fn case.

If he keeps House, it will piss us off, but CBK won't take a hit....yet. Now, if come thar first game in Vegas we see the same site show, then yeah. If he keeps, CBK better be right.

It's hard to explain why LSU's defense played so poorly this year; Matt House made a pretty decent showing last year, and arguably games were won in 2022 thanks to strong defensive efforts. Also look at Kentucky back in 2018; under House's leadership the Cats were top ten nationally in total defense in crafting a 10-3 record

It’s honestly head scratching, given his resume. The talent wasn’t great, but it wasn’t 100th in the nation bad. A big part was scheme, but last year House did well at half time adjustments. This year he just stayed with getting torched the entire game. Like why the stubbornness all of a sudden?

I know LSU had to play scads of young, inexperienced guys due to injuries, but the Tigers should have still had a better showing on the field
