Ohio State’s 2024 Transfer Class:

-Caleb Downs (No. 1 Overall Player)
-Quinshon Judkins (No. 1 RB)
-Will Howard (No. 16 Overall Player, No. 6 QB)
-Seth McLaughlin (No. 6 IOL)
-Will Kacmarek (No. 24 TE)

The Buckeyes also bring in the No. 1 Recruit in ‘24 in Jeremiah Smith, as well as return multiple key starters

So Noland to the portal?

I doubt it, but he'd be more like McCord than Stroud if that sent him to the portal.

I don’t blame Day at all if he brings Sayin in. He basically got burned immediately by NIL with Ewers.

Exactly. Ewers leaving fricked the quarterback room. Hopefully Noland and Sayin (fingers crossed) are down for competition next year. Brown and Keinholz are gone in the spring IMO.

i think they might actually beat UM this time but still not guaranteed with Day in charge. i say bucks should be favoured 60/40

Nine guys passed on the league to come back. Mostly on defense. We just need a serviceable o line now.

Osu might be scary good in 2024. If Day wasn’t the coach, I would say they would be favorites to win the championship

If we didn't have a top two coach...

You're delusional, as always.

Yeah, and Harbaugh was almost run out of Michigan, went 0-5 in his 1st 5 seasons against OSU, including giving up 62 points in 2018 when Day was the OC and 56 points in 2019 when Day was the HC. Then in 2020, they went 2-4 and chickened out of the OSU game. And in his 1st 8 seasons, he won just 1 bowl game in his 1st year. Now look at him.

But Kirby’s early trajectory is pretty similar to Day, and in fact, with some major blunders. Starting in 2017 in his second season (putting aside his 1st year), he was leading Alabama by 10 points in the 4th quarter, only to blow the lead, sending it in to overtime. Then after going up a field goal, they sacked Tua for a 16 yard loss, only to give up a 41 yard touchdown to lose the game. At one point, ESPN’s win probability model had them at a 93% chance of winning.

Then the next year in the SEC championship, they were up by 14 points in the 2nd half, tot up to a 95% chance of winning on the win probability model, only to blow the lead. Then came one of the dumbest play calls I’ve ever seen. Facing 4th and 11 at midfield with 3 minutes to go, they call a fake punt run with Fields. He gets 2 yards, and Bama gets the ball and goes 52 yards in 5 plays to score a TD and win a game.

Then in 2021 they have one of the most dominating defenses in history. Having only given up like 5 touchdowns outside of garbage time, and they proceed to give up 41 points (34 on offense) and get dominated by Bama in the SEC championship game. Then after another dominating playoff performance, they face Bama again. And again they were down in the 4th quarter, and that was despite Bama losing their All-American WR.

So he was just moments away from squandering his 3rd national championship title opportunity to Alabama, and 0-5 against Bama overall, with one of the most dominating defenses in history, against a Bama team who lost their best offensive weapon outside of Young.

But then they came back, and got an interception return, and now they 2x national champions, and goofballs like you who cited Todd Boeckman and Justin Zwick as evidence Stroud will not he a good nfl QB, showing you’ll look back 15-20 years in the past to fit an absurd narrative, but fail to look back just a few years to see if it doesn’t fit your new absurd narrative.

Downs and Lathan Ransom at safety.

Burke, Igbinosun, Hancock at corners.

This allows Sonny Styles to slide down to lb with Cody Simon. Maybe CJ Hicks, but he may be left out of starting defense.

Sawyer and Tuimoloau at de. Tyleik and Hamilton at defensive tackle. They could maybe use one more depth piece there.

One of the 1-3 best returning defenses I’ve seen on paper at Ohio State in the past 30 years.

If they hit on Will Howard at qb, they’re right at the top of cfb in 24.
