the fact that no one but McNese wanted to hire Wade proved LSU did the right thing.
Did they hire the wrong coach? maybe.

The program would have been in much better shape than the current embarrassingly dysfunctional shape that it's in currently.
I'm really starting to have a negative opinion of Woodward from his "Damn the torpedoes and full steam Ahead" allowance of Tiger Stadium's repulsive conversion to "NFL Light" (With all the nauseating PIM/DJ garbage) and the Will Wade "Bend over to the NCAA" situation.

Incorrect. Wade was a straight pussy and refused to explain himself and lawyered up. LSU gave him every chance to come forward. He quit on his own team.
