I don’t care. I’m not one who feels that the OP was insulting my religious beliefs.

The event is more important than the exact date

You must not have clicked the links I provided. Apart from Jesus replacing Sol Invictus, a pagan god whose birthday was Dec 25 (connected to the winter solstice where the sun is at its lowest point in the sky for 3 days before being resurrected), in some cases he was actually equated to the old pagan god, even in artwork in St Peter’s Basilica. See here Jesus is the sun and is being pulled by horse drawn chariots across the sky.

so a random image in a tomb that happens to look similar to Sol Invictus, so it must be that the birth of Jesus is based on Sol Invictus.

How do you know the person pictured in the image you posted is Jesus?

Could it be someone else? IDK like Ezekiel being taken up to heaven by a chariot of fire?

edit: it's common to use the sun to respesent Christ, as he is the light of the world. As the scriptures tell us.

You are proving correlation not causation.

Yep, along with child sacrifice, pedophilia, feeding Christians to the lions, ruthless Empire conquest and full on MMA combat in the stadiums.

Whatever one's dreams are, that will be one's future. You can have my share of Pagan ideology, SQ. Good luck.

Very prevalent during Pagan times.

Celebrate Jesus death not his birth? I guess the wise men that came to worship him weren’t so wise ?

Angels on the sideline
Puzzled and amused
Why did Father give these humans free will?
Now they're all confused
Don't these talking monkeys know that
Eden has enough to go around?
Plenty in this holy garden, silly monkeys
Where there's one, you're bound to divide it
Right in two

A ton of our holiday rituals are rooted in Pagan rituals. We changed to worshipping Jesus and the God of Abraham but still retained a lot of the pagan culture. Gift giving, decorating trees, Santa Claus, decking the halls with holly all were pagan traditions

If I was not sitting in an hospital watching my wife die of cancer I would debate you.

But instead I will say this. What type of person on a holy day to billions of people come and mock them? This says nothing about the believers in the Faith, but a whole hell of a lot about you.

Merry Christmas

Very disturbed, insecure individuals.

Nobody is celebrating Sol Invictus, Saturnalia, or Mithra’s birthday. People don’t even know who they are.

This is a day we celebrate Christ’s Birth into the world. Truth be known, Jesus IS God, and He has no birthday as He has always been, but it’s a time we designated on the calendar to celebrate the day our Savior came into the world. The day is of little significance as is the hope for mankind that came into the world. Many have speculated it being 9 months from His death, burial, and resurrection, but even that is speculation.

I care absolute ZERO what actual day it is celebrated. What should be much more on your radar is that Christ is the one we fixate on more so that Santa or some Hallmark silliness. When that takes the center stage rather than Jesus Christ on CHRISTmas, it’s an issue for me, and should be for all of those focused on some trivial nonsense intended to elevate themselves and their intellectual or religious ego over what we should all be fixated on right now, and that’s Jesus Christ.

And the cool, edgy leftists who always seem to love mocking Christianity or anything Western would absolutely refrain from doing it to any tradition observed by their beloved minorities. Their contempt is purely situational, just like everything else in the social justice cult.

This is disingenuous. You know good and well that was what the OP was doing. But Merry Christmas
