I pray that one day, some of the scriptures you mock, make their way to your heart and you are given an opportunity to repent and be saved.

That's the wise men not the body of Christ. Corinthians 11 23-26 he says to celebrate his death. Never says celebrate his birthday. Which if we did it would be in September not December anyway.

Nope. I read, and I’m not stupid.

Who wrote what you read? I find it fascinating that every history book ever was written by the good guys.

Do you not read any of the classics? Are you really going to die on the “there was no morality before Christianity” hill?

You think people are assholes now, imagine if you added 1000 years of paganism on top of it

The problem with guys like you, is that youre not smart enough to realize how stupid you are
quote:

Sol Invictus, the official deity of the Roman Empire in the 3rd century CE, was born on December 25.

No he wasnt. He didnt have a "birth" day. He was assigned one. On a particular day, you know like someone else was, that you are now trying to demean for it
quote:

The main festival dedicated to him was the Dies Natalis Solis Invicti, birthday of the Invincible Sun, on 25 December, the date of the winter solstice in the Roman calendar

So his cult used the winter solstice as his birthday, yet replacing that, with the actual birth of a deity must mean its fake

You do get that when someone else wins the football playoff, GA is no longer "the champion", right? Christians came, kicked Sol's arse, and took his birth date. You got a problem with that? Take it up with those weak arse pagans who stole the winter solstice, and then couldnt stand up to the followers of that one true deity

Merry Day of the Unconquered Sun! by yakster
The devil comes to kill, steal, and destroy. You’re mad at the wrong person. My sister died of cancer several years ago. I understand your pain, and I don’t have an answer why He allows such things. But I do know that thru it all I trust Him.

I didn't mean to quote you, it was directed at op. I am on zero sleep the last 3 days. Make no mistake, I see God through all this tragedy. I trust in His plan all while I still am in pain.

It would follow that the sun god would be born on the day with the least sunlight. That's not a coincidence.

What's the rationale for assigning Jesus' birth to the same day outside of attempting to appeal to pagans?

Satan is pretty clever, I'd tread softly. You got an idol... errr. Christmas tree standing in your home right now? Oops.

I suppose you realize the OP you are defending was packed with 'stupid'?
Right?

In fact, if 'stupid' was an artform, this bit would approach grandmaster status:

Europe lost over 1000 years of scientific progress due to folks not being allowed to question the Bible. We’d probably have flying cars right now if the west would have remained pagan.

More likely that we would all be limp wristed, women would all color their hair pink, purple, etc, everything would come with a trigger warning, we would cover our faces like cowards, form groups, and attack people on the street, there would have been no United States since man would have been granted unalienable rights only by other men so why not just listen to the king, we would all be naming ourselves Muhammad.. because being part of someone that doesn’t believe in god somehow inexplicably comes coupled with complete submission to Muslims and their prophet…

Yeah, no it isn’t but I doubt that really matters to you. Being content in any situation you find yourself because this life is temporary is much different than endorsing something

Satan is pretty clever,

Satan is the dark side of our own shadow. Its the shiny things, the trinkets, greed and love for all things temporary.

If Christians really believed the scripture, they would understand "satan" is just the god of this world. Its the things that distract us from ourselves.
