Had the same problem with Samsung dryer. Replaced the element with an Amazon one and it worked for about 6 months. Replaced again with an Amazon one and it lasted about 9 months. Tossed the dryer out after that. I will not purchase any Samsung appliances. Had issues with the washer, dryer and of course fridge.

I replaced two heating elements with cheap ones off amazon. Of course it went out again over the holidays and didn't want to wait on amazon so ran to the parts place. He told me it's pretty standard for the cheap ones to only give you a year if you're lucky. He said go with the OEM and it will last 5 years. it was 3 times the price ($50) but if he is right, its well worth the time savings.
