Don't need zip ties when you have chloroform and it doesn't leave marks

I use their predator engines on the farm and they’ve lasted as long as the Honda ones I used to use

Quality at HF isn’t that bad for most items

Hand tools and consumable items are decent quality and half the price at Lowe’s or big box stores. If you’re looking for quality drills and power tool, look elsewhere. For the stuff that you only use around the house every so often, it has it’s place

Their shite is fine for around the house tools but stay far away if you are planing on using their shite for actual work

I bought a body saw from them to cut holes in my boat for speakers. I got half way through the first 8” hole and it got so hot I couldn’t hold it. Then it died.

I will try their zip ties and straps but save my bucks for another brand of power tools.

Their Doyle line of pliers and such is made on the old MAC tools patents. I have a couple of different ones and have been pleased with the quality, especially for the money.

The best thing I've ever bought from them is a little palm sander. I've beat the shite out of it for years now and it is still rolling. The forstner bit set they used to sell (different design now) has been really good, too. Random stuff can surprise you. I still use that bit set two or three times a week.

Exactly… HF has its role.

If it is a tool that doesn’t involve a moving part… HF is not a bad source for it.

A few years back Amazon bought Harbor Freight and thats when they started selling Icon brand tools and boxes in addition of the Pittsburgh and General brands. I have a couple technicians that use their earthquake brand cordless impacts and they’re not bad, batteries are awful though.

I don't think this is true, or there is at least no coverage or mention of it online. It is the first I've heard of it.
