What NFL team would you say is the most .500ish team in the last 20 years?

Never terrible, but never great. Just always mediocre, treading water.

Atlanta Falcons. They've been exactly .500 since 2005 and have won seven or eight games in a season eight times over that time period. They did make a Super Bowl in 2016 but outside of that season, they've basically hovered around .500 every year.

Green Bay, just feel more mediocre than competitive over the long haul.

It is actually Bengals and Falcons, .501 and .500 respectively.

Statmuse.com says they are 193-193 since 2000.

Patriots have the best record at 266-120 and Washington has the worst record at 158-226-2.

I know you know they had an 0-16 season

Tennessee is probably the right answer or maybe the LA Chargers

What happened in that Super Bowl? I'm drawing a blank.

Yeah the Tennessee is the right answer. That is, based on not just cumulative record over time, but the team that hung around the seven to nine win seasons year after year the most.

They won that one, right? I remember it being a pretty boring game with them just beating the shite out of the Patriots. I stopped watching when it was 28-3.

Titans is dead wrong unless you are a fan of a Super Bowl champ chances are our years in Tennessee have been better than yours. Super Bowl appearance, 3 AFC title games, only a few jets like season post Vince young into the locker mariota days and then consistent playoff team since 2019 ending Brady pats career knocking Lamar out. 2021 we should have lost the Super Bowl but tannehill threw 3 horrible picks as the 1 seed allowing burrow a free pass after being sacked 9 times. That was where the titanic sank. We have dark times ahead. But the past or say since they have been here in Tennessee there have been much less accomplished franchises like the Dallas cowboys the buffalo bills dolphins jets chargers Texans and most of the afc outside Pitt Baltimore NE KC early 2000 raiders colts. Are we the top tier NO but hardly the jets browns (until now) lions (until now) bengals (until recently) etc etc

Seems to me Mike tomlin and the Steelers is the correct answer. They do have the super bowls 13+ years ago but they are the epitome of .500 sneak in playoffs but have no chance to do anything. They actually could this year if weather allows mason to throw
